The Department of International Relations held a discussion of educational programs of the second and third levels of higher education

The event was attended by the department's teachers, scientists and professors from leading higher education institutions of Ukraine, postgraduate students and students.

In particular, among the invited stakeholders, the following joined the discussion:

Kuz' Oleh Mykolayovych - Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, Head of the Department of International Relations and Political Philosophy of the Semyon Kuznets Kharkiv National Economic University;

Datskiv Ihor Bogdanovych - Doctor of History, Professor, Professor of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy of the West Ukrainian National University, Ternopil;

Shevchuk Oleksandr Volodymyrovych - Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of International Relations and Foreign Policy of the Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University, Mykolaiv;

  • The participants considered the current issues of development and improvement of 3 educational programs:
  • "International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies" in the specialty 291 International Relations, Public Communications and Regional Studies (third level of higher education - PhD);
  • "International Relations" in the specialty C3 International Relations (third level of higher education - PhD);
  • "Diplomacy and Digital Policy" in the specialty C3 Political Science and C3 International Relations (second level of higher education - Master's degree).

During the discussion, the content of educational programs was analyzed, their compliance with modern challenges of the international environment, the needs of education seekers and the requirements of the labor market. Particular attention was paid to the issues of developing research competencies, digitalization of international processes, training specialists in the field of diplomacy and international relations, as well as strengthening the practical component of training.
