On Friday, August 30, near the Palace of Students of the Oles Honchar DNU, the initiation of first-year students into students of the national university took place. Applicants of the Department of International Relations also joined the festive event.

The traditional annual holiday of the DNU "Initiation into Students" gathered first-year students of one of the most prestigious universities in Ukraine near the Palace of Students of the DNU.

The event was held for the third time during the full-scale invasion of Russian occupiers into Ukraine, with all security measures observed.

During the ceremonial event, the first-year students were congratulated by the rector of the university, Sergey Ivanovich Okovity. He wished the students inspiration and urged them not to forget thanks to whom this day has come.

"We gathered near the beautiful Palace of Students named after Oles Honchar thanks to the titanic efforts of our warriors: defenders and defenders. Tens of thousands of warriors laid down their lives defending Ukraine. Among them, 37 are graduates of our university.

Every day of ours is an example of fortitude! We are starting the third year in conditions of a full-scale invasion of the aggressor. I am grateful to you for staying with Ukraine, for choosing Oles Honchar Dnipro National University,” - emphasized the rector of Oles Honchar Dnipro National University Serhiy Okovity.

The vice-rectors and representatives of the regional government also made welcoming speeches. After which, the first-year students were symbolically presented with student cards, and a photo was taken as a keepsake.

We wish the newly minted students inspiration, a thirst for learning and the achievement of their goals.
